I signed my daughter up at Oxford Learning because I liked their Cognitive Learning approach. It’s less about memorizing and more about teaching kids how to think through problems, which felt right for her.
It helps that they have six centers in Edmonton, so finding one nearby was easy. They also offer an online tutoring option for families who prefer learning at home.
She’s currently attending their science, math, and English classes, but they also cover other subjects like French and writing. I appreciate that they have programs for kids with ADHD or dyslexia, which shows they try to meet different needs.
Their flexible monthly payment plans are convenient and make it easier to keep my daughter enrolled even when money is tight.

What I found useful is their MT Mastery Platform, which gives students 24/7 access to learning materials so they can keep studying even after the session ends.
I also like their satisfaction guarantee. If the tutor they assign doesn’t feel like the right fit, they’ll cover the first lesson.
That said, one area I can criticize is the pricing. Online tutoring is $60 an hour, and in-home is $70, plus a $5 travel surcharge if you live outside Edmonton.
