The 5 Best Storage Container Providers in Edmonton Who Out-Box the Competition

Weather Resistance: We wanted containers tough enough to handle freezing Alberta winters and heavy rain. Having a solid steel frame that keeps moisture out is a must for outdoor storage.

Delivery Flexibility: Delivery flexibility mattered too, so we looked for companies that could drop off units with contactless service and horizontal lift systems. No need to wait around all day scored major points.

Security Features: Security was key, since nobody wants to worry about their stuff. Providers offering strong locks and secured off-site facilities ranked higher, making it easy to relax knowing your valuables are safe.

Pricing and Sizing: Finally, we checked pricing and sizing options to see if they fit different budgets and project needs. Containers that saved money by preventing the need for multiple units naturally climbed to the top of our list.

Moving or renovating is stressful enough without tripping over boxes in your own home. Trust me, lifting boxes all day is rough on the back.

So, finding the best storage container in Edmonton can totally save your sanity when you need that extra space. You might even be considering checking out garage builders for all your extra storage needs, but right now, a portable sea can is the fastest fix.

Lucky for you, we’ve listed here the providers who’ll keep your stuff secure. Keep reading to meet them!

A buddy of mine actually used them last year during a big house renovation and loved that he didn’t even have to be home for the delivery. It’s a huge relief when you have a packed schedule and just want things handled quickly.

Their all-steel containers are built specifically to survive our harsh Edmonton weather. Plus, they really focus on keeping everything secure, letting you double-lock units on your property or move them to a secure off-site yard.

But you should know that you’re totally on your own for packing, so you’ll need to hire help if you hate heavy lifting.

The entire rental process was smooth and affordable

We utilized a weatherproof storage container during a major Beaumont roof repair to keep our attic belongings completely safe from the elements. The entire rental process was smooth and affordable, making it a highly fantastic choice.

I completely appreciate how much stress this flexible rental relieved for my family

Renting a weatherproof container for our Leduc driveway allowed us to slowly move smaller items at our own pace before the main moving day. I completely appreciate how much stress this flexible rental relieved for my family.

Website: makespacestorage.ca/

Address: 12235 149 Street NW

Contact: 587-414-0293 | [email protected]

Hours: Monday-Saturday 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Make Space Storage takes the headache out of moving by delivering portable units right to your door so you can pack at your own speed. Plus, if you need to keep things at their actual facility, their drive-up units are a massive time-saver.

They also offer really solid promotional deals, like half-off local delivery fees, which definitely helps the budget. You even get clear, four-week billing cycles instead of confusing pro-rated monthly charges.

We’ve heard that the steel containers are super tough and totally weatherproof, too!

However, their portable containers don’t have climate control, so they aren’t great for sensitive items like electronics during freezing winters.

Also, those extra drop-off and pick-up fees can add up fast and increase your final bill.

Pros

  • Convenient drive-up storage units
  • Wind- and water-tight construction
  • Wide local delivery radius
  • Transparent four-week billing cycles

Cons

  • No climate-controlled portable units
  • Extra delivery and pickup fees

My experience with Cubeit has been great

My experience with Cubeit has been great, so far! I recently spoke to Catherine about what to expect for billing for my drop-off and she was very friendly and helpful!

The driver in charge of the picking up of my storage unit was also friendly and handled the container with care.

I will definitely be using this service again

Booking a sea container and having it delivered from the old place to the new place was very easy/convenient and every customer care representative that I spoke to was very professional. I will definitely be using this service again when required and will be referring this company to friends and family

Our colleague actually used them when transitioning between apartments a few years back. He said having that heavy-duty container sitting right outside for a month took all the pressure off packing.

I highly recommend them

Pods Moving and Storage Edmonton are fantastic to work with. They send emails when to expect the drop off of our Pod and an email of the pick time. Friendly, professional services. I highly recommend them to anyone looking forward a safe, secure storage and moving container.

We had the pod moved to our new house and it was a seamless experience

We rented a pod for a month so that we could declutter our house and stage it for sale. I was really happy to see that the pod has a subfloor so that your items aren’t sitting on just the metal container bottom. We had the pod moved to our new house and it was a seamless experience.

We had a great experience from start to finish; everyone we dealt with was very professional, and they provided great pre-and post-service. I would not hesitate to use them again!
