I’ve actually experienced having my fireplace break down during the colder months, but fortunately, there are many places in the city that fix fireplaces or install a new one if the old one is beyond repair.

You can even do custom stone work! That’s what we did, and we liked how it turned out. Our fireplace now looks old-fashioned in that classic way!
Overall, working with the staff here is lovely. Everyone is knowledgeable and eager to help. One client told me that he lived in a rural area, and still, the shop went to his house to replace his old fireplace.
That said, there are communication issues here sometimes. Some clients told me that they called to get a free quote for a potential repair, and though they got a date for the inspection, no one showed up. When the client reached out, they got no response.

“Gemco was called because I required maintenance on my fireplace as it hadn’t been serviced for a while. The Technician was Clinton. He was very pleasant, knowledgeable and dressed professionally. He vacuumed the fireplace, replaced the wall switch, cleaned the pilot light and burners, repainted the back wall of the fireplace and cleaned the glass window.
