Feel the need for speed at the best go-karting tracks in Edmonton!
Fed up with boring weekends? So was I—until I hit the go-karting tracks in Edmonton and found my new obsession!
I tried every go-karting venue in town, and trust me, not all karts are created equal. After some serious laps (and a few bumps), I gathered my favourite spots that offer thrilling races without sacrificing safety!

I’ve had a great time racing at Speeders where the indoor electric go-karts give you an exciting ride. They’ve been at it for over 11 years, offering a safe and fun experience for all skill levels.
There are plenty of options, from drop-in races to group events like birthdays or corporate get-togethers.
The multi-level track is where I spent most of my time, and it was a real thrill! Navigating the twists and turns across different levels made each lap feel fresh and challenging.
Pro Tips: Take a break between races with a round of duckpin bowling or axe throwing. Both are great ways to keep the fun going while letting your arms recover from steering the wheel. Grab a pizza party package if you’re with a group. It’s great for 10 guests and gives you reserved seating so you can enjoy pizza, garlic fingers, and unlimited drinks after a race. |

Drive has quickly become a favourite spot for indoor go-karting, and it’s easy to see why. The electric karts offer a smooth ride with adjustable seats, pedals, and steering wheels that help you feel in control as you navigate the multi-level track.
Racing on the themed course, with its vibrant New York-inspired décor, truly gets your adrenaline pumping. I found the experience exhilarating, especially when flying past the cityscape as the wind rushed by my helmet.
If you’re new to go-karting, you’ll be welcomed by friendly staff who ensure everyone feels at ease. They provide guidance and assistance throughout, making it a fun outing for the whole family.
Pro Tip: Make sure you meet the height requirement of 54 inches (138 cm) and the age limits—14 for junior races and 16 for regular races. |

The Edmonton & District Kart Racing Association (EDKRA) is a non-profit club run by passionate members and volunteers. It’s a great place for drivers of all ages, from 5 to 80+, to develop their skills in a safe, family-friendly environment.
I love the EDKRA facility, which has a 1.1 km karting track, pit stalls, RV camping, washrooms, a race office, and a tech building for events and education.
If you’re curious about karting, the EDKRA Try-A-Kart program is perfect for you. It combines classroom learning with on-track experience, covering everything from kart maintenance to safety.
Pro Tip: You can bring your well-behaved dog, but keep them on a leash and away from busy areas. Use the green space north of the trailers for bathroom breaks and always clean up after your pet. |
