I tried Revive Wellness mainly for weight management, and honestly, it felt different from the usual nutrition spots. The dietitian I worked with, Matthew Adegbuyi, didn’t just hand me a strict plan; he helped figure out what actually fit my lifestyle.
I noticed changes after a few weeks that felt doable, not like I was starving myself.
The cooking session with their chefs was probably the highlight. It wasn’t fancy or intimidating, more like learning tricks in a kitchen with someone who knows their stuff.
I picked up a couple of easy recipes that I still use, and it made healthy eating feel less like a chore. Furthermore, they’ve got extras like free discovery calls and even a referral program.
The only issues are that they sometimes take forever to reply to emails, and a few people I talked to said their dietitians didn’t show up for appointments.

- Has a friend referral program

Had a great experience with my 1-1 meet-ups with the dietician here
“Had a great experience with my 1-1 meet-ups with the dietician here. She was professional and shared great insight, despite a large gap in our ages. I still use the suggestions she made to help me navigate tough days, focusing on small steps and celebrating the little wins. I have removed some weight and returned to a fitness class, which is helping my mobility immensely. Highly recommend.”

2. Achieve Nutrition

Services offered: Personalised nutrition consultations, Direct Feeding Therapy, nutrition workshops, meal observation and coaching, supplement and nutrition analysis, and more
Phone number: +1 780-938-0434
Business hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (MON-SAT)
Achieve Nutrition has been around for quite a while, led by Claire Kjeld, who brings about 20 years of experience from working in hospitals and clinics across Canada and the U.S.
What makes the practice stand out is how personal it feels. Claire offers online sessions or even in-home appointments, which can help families who want support without the stress of travelling.
I found their Direct Feeding Therapy especially interesting since it helps kids who struggle with eating feel more comfortable at mealtimes. They also provide metabolic testing to figure out how your body burns energy, which can guide weight goals.
Furthermore, they offer nutrition workshops for workplaces and community groups, plus consultations covering stuff like digestive health and paediatric growth concerns.
The only drawback is the booking system. You can’t instantly schedule online and have to send a request first, which slows things down.
Makes nutrition fun and easy
“Claire has worked with our swim club for a few years and makes nutrition fun and easy for our athletes and families to understand. We are a predominantly female sport and Claire does a great job of bringing up the important subjects that teenage girls don’t often like to talk about and making them part of regular conversations. Claire is an amazing person and I would highly recommend working with her.”

Has made nutrition very understandable for my teams
“Claire is knowledgeable and clear and has made nutrition very understandable for my team. We have had her speak to several of my soccer teams over the years and she is always prepared, engaged, and very fun to listen to. By the time the session is over, the players have a great understanding of sports nutrition!”

Business hours:

9:00 AM – 7:00 PM (TUES and WED)
9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (THURS)
I checked out In Good Nutrition, and it’s a clinic that leans on registered dietitians who try to keep food practical instead of pushing strict rules. They cover a lot of ground, including customised meal plans, paediatric nutrition, and chronic disease management.
What caught my eye was their focus on eating disorders. They work with people dealing with anorexia, bulimia, and binge eating. Everything runs through telehealth, so you can book by phone or video, and direct billing makes insurance easier.
However, please note that the first consult costs $190 and follow-ups are $165, making them one of the pricier options on this list. And since everything is done virtually, folks who prefer in-person sessions might not find this setup ideal.
I got all the meal plans tailored to my needs and taste
“Serena is a very talented, understanding nutritionist. She helped me gain confidence in myself and that helped me to lose weight. I got all the meal plans tailored to my needs and taste. Definitely recommend her…”
-Aneeta Sera, Google Reviews
Really helped me find foods/meals that were a lot healthier for me
“I started seeing Serena because I worked away from home a lot so my eating habits were all over the place. After a couple of sessions she really helped me find foods/meals that were a lot healthier for me and still tasted great. She’s got a really kind and caring personality that’s geared towards getting you on a healthy track with food. Highly recommend!”

4. Leverage Nutrition

Phone number: +1 780-340-4300
Business hours:
10:00 AM – 5:00 PM (MON, WED, THURS, FRI, and SAT)
10:00 AM – 9:00 PM (TUES)
Leverage Nutrition is pretty new in Edmonton, starting up in 2023, but I’ve noticed they’re already making their mark. It was founded by dietitian Michael Fouts, who takes a practical approach that’s more about building habits than chasing quick fixes.
What I liked is that they make it easy to test the waters with a free discovery call for new clients. They also give you the choice of meeting online or in-person, which is handy if you’re juggling a busy schedule or living outside the city.
Their services cover sports nutrition, weight management, and even corporate wellness programs. What’s good is that most of these services can be directly billed to your insurance provider.
That said, since they’re still new, their team is small, so appointments can be harder to grab, and they don’t yet have the long track record of older clinics.
I’ve learned a ton and already feel better
“Mike is amazing! Super knowledgeable, easy to work with, and genuinely cares about your goals. His advice is personalized and realistic, and he’s great at keeping you accountable. I’ve learned a ton and already feel better. Highly recommend Mike the Nutritionist! 🙌”

5. Embodied RD

Services offered: Personalised nutrition consultations, Somatic Experiencing and embodiment coaching, Intuitive Eating guidance, chronic dieting resolution support, IBS care, and more
Address: 10411 122 St NW Suite 101
Phone number: +1 780-446-4487
Embodied RD is one of those spots that doesn’t feel like your typical nutrition clinic. Instead of handing out strict meal plans, the focus is on helping people tune into their bodies.
Somatic Experiencing is part of the mix, which is basically about calming the nervous system and reducing stress around food. Intuitive Eating is another big piece, teaching you to trust hunger and fullness cues instead of following rigid rules.
I liked that there’s a complimentary phone consultation for new clients. Services cover chronic dieting resolution and IBS care, which is a relief for folks who’ve been stuck in cycles of restriction or dealing with digestive issues.
Still, there are some downsides worth noting. There’s no dedicated dieting program since the philosophy is weight-inclusive, and there aren’t official business hours, which can make scheduling less straightforward.
The one-on-one sessions were super helpful
“I attended the five month Befriend Binge Eating workshop. It was incredibly helpful for my issues with binge eating and body images. Selene is an excellent facilitator, listener, and incredibly knowledgeable. The one-on-one sessions were super helpful as well. I developed good skills that I can use well into the future, and also received excellent nutrition advice.”
-Tanya Friesen, Google Reviews
A transforming experience
“Working with Selene was a transforming experience. She helped me draw out what was behind my seemingly out-of-control need for sugar and chocolate and gave me methods and space for me to work it out and continue the work beyond the sessions. She really, really helped me and I’ll be forever grateful for her help in my mindset shift and confidence around this topic.”
