With the help of my home builder, I researched and interviewed different drywall contractors in Edmonton and checked so many samples. In the end, I went with what I thought was the best option, and to this day, I still enjoy the benefits.

Executive Drywall comes highly recommended among residential and commercial clients alike. So, it’s not a surprise that ultimately, I went with them for my housing project.
The first thing I like about this company is how comprehensive their drywall services are. They make sure that your drywall is not just fireproof and waterproof, but also durable, which is why they add steel stud framing to it.
They can also insulate, soundproof, and even paint the drywall for you! If you have damaged drywall, they can also repair it for you.
I also like the quality of their service. From getting a free quote, the team was communicative throughout. There was always someone updating me about the progress, and when I had a question, someone replied quickly.
They also went above and beyond to accommodate my schedule. I had to quickly change the installation date because I had an emergency, and the crew complied with no fuss. On the day of, they arrived on time and completed the work efficiently.
However, I’ve heard from other clients about imperfections in the installation, like scratches and holes. They did come back to repair these imperfections or offer a partial refund, but it would have been ideal if these had been avoided in the first place.

“For a lack of better words. All I can say is Wow.. just wow. I’ve dealt with a lot of contractors and unfortunately doing so is often a worrying/stressful process. Wondering if contractors will do quality work, honor their timelines, communicate within reason, and not sneak in costs. When I find a contractor I can trust.. its such a relief. Executive drywall is such a company. The quality of their service and communication was phenomenal. They have a wide array of services as well. In addition to customizing your drywall so that it’s durable and fireproof, they can also repair or restore it. They can even do basement renovation (like these services)!
Additionally, they offer several types of drywall. They have the ultra-light drywall, which is the most common since it’s light and affordable, as well as fireguard drywall (fire-resistant) and Aqua Board (water-resistant).
People also commend the company’s overall service. Firstly, the pricing is reasonable, and the final price is almost always the quote they first gave you.
That said, while most clients had a great experience, others had the opposite. One client told me he received no response when he asked for a quote. He reached out to them multiple times via phone and email.

Imperial Drywall is another great company that serves both residential and commercial clients.
Former clients mentioned that the team here is a pleasure to work with. From the initial consultation to installation, everyone is polite, friendly, and professional.
Clients also appreciated that the team is always on schedule. But what if an emergency arises and you have to change the installation date at the last minute? They’ll accommodate that, too.
The installation is flawless as well. One client appreciated how well the crew built a bulkhead to encompass the new electrical wires for their pendant lights. She had guests over, and they couldn’t tell that there was a bulkhead above!
The pricing is also reasonable, even if you add extra items. If you’re not sure about the price, you can contact them for a free quote.
That said, their list of services is lacking for me. True, they have the most important ones, such as framing, insulation, T-bar ceiling, and taping, but they don’t offer fireproofing or waterproofing, which is a bummer.

Great experience overall
“Great experience having Imperial Drywall’s crews come out to make repairs to our freezing kitchen plumbing which involved the opening and rebuilding of a garage bulkhead as well as a spray foam insulation application once the plumbing had been remediated. Everyone was polite, friendly, professional, and stayed on schedule. Final repair bill was incredibly affordable. Wish we had hired Imperial Drywall sooner!”

Mr. Drywall is best known for its drywall repair services (people contact them to fix or finish an existing drywall or remove popcorn texture on the ceiling). But they also do drywall installations!
You can choose to add a metal stud framing to make the drywall more durable or have the drywall taped, mudded, sanded, and even painted to make it look better.
I do wish they also offered fireproofing/waterproofing and insulation to their drywalls, though. That way, their drywalls would have more function.
Their former clients praise the team’s problem-solving skills. One client called them to repair holes in their ceiling. She thought the final result was seamless!
The communication is also first-rate. One client told me that they answered his inquiry and set up an appointment quickly. Then, someone stopped by his house to check the area and provided a rough estimate.
On the day of the installation, the crew was efficient and meticulous, and they also respected the area by cleaning after the workday.

“First rate experience from start to finish! From our initial inquiry, Angel answered promptly and set up an appointment for Dean to check out the job. Shortly thereafter we had an estimate and we went ahead with the job. Even though our job wasn’t the biggest, we felt they wanted our business and would do a good job. The quality of the work was excellent, and even getting to that point was a good experience. They also keep the work area clean, which is a thoughtful gesture.
When it comes to pricing, clients say that it’s fair and affordable. The company does offer free quotes if you’re not sure about their rates.
One downside to this company, though, is the poor communication. A client told me that his project was short on material, and it took a while before someone reached back to him. He waited days for a response.
