The first thing I like about Pacific Welder and Motive Power Services is its conventional location in the Mistatim Industrial neighbourhood. There’s a bus stop just a short walk away, so getting to and from this shop isn’t too hard.
Their shop is well-equipped, so if you want, you can stop by with your furniture or some other item that needs repairs, and the crew will get right to diagnosing the issue. Since the shop has a stock of OEM spare parts, they can also fix your item right on the spot.
If your matter is urgent, you can choose to call them from your home, and someone will be dispatched to your location and attend to your needs ASAP.
And they’re truly fast. One client told me that he called the shop at 7:15 and within an hour, someone was already at his house to troubleshoot the issue and point him in the right direction. He was impressed!
The only downside to this shop is that they specialize in repairs only. So, if you need something fabricated or built, you need to go elsewhere.

I’m impressed with the lineup of services here. They can do repairs at their shop, or if you’re at home, they can dispatch a team with their mobile welding machine to fix whatever issue you have.
They can also do fabrication projects! Just let them know your unique design, and one of the technicians will weld it with precision.
People also appreciate the competitive pricing and how the final bill matches the initial free quote that they got. The shop even breaks down the costs for transparency’s sake.
The shop is also well-situated along Northwest Avenue. Three bus stops are located near the shop, so you won’t struggle coming here.
That said, I’ve heard that they take longer to respond during busy periods (usually in the warmer months). This isn’t much of a deal-breaker, but it can be annoying if your project is urgent.

I love how expansive their service area is. In addition to Edmonton, they’ve served clients in neighbouring areas as well, such as St. Albert, Sherwood Park, and Fort Saskatchewan.
For repairs, most clients come to the shop themselves to get something fixed. But if the item to be fixed is too big to be carried around, they’ll come to you instead, with their portable welding unit!
People also love the fast service. One client came here because he needed a small aluminum part welded up for his snowmobile, and the team at Totem got that done in a reasonable time, much to the client’s delight.
However, I’ve heard some issues about their communication. One client told me that a welder from Totem cancelled on him, and another was a no-show. This frustrated him because the welders could’ve just let him know in advance.
